A Story of Grace – Day 12

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Because Jesus has raised you to life, invigorated you and redeemed you from the power of the grave, you and I have an obligation to live for Him.

We are not forced to live lives dedicated to serving the will of God, but we are obliged to live in this way, rather than to satisfy our selfish fleshly desires.

If we put His will above our own, we will see His transforming power working in our lives to change us from the carnal, selfish, indulgent creatures that we are naturally into people who are guided by His Holy Spirit.

If we continue to do this we will find that we no longer seek to do things that make us feel good but to serve the needs of others.
